He’s the source of heated fantasies, lustful longings and women everywhere would give anything to hear him utter their names. He is deliciously, wickedly, sensually, undeniably mouthwatering with an arrogance and darkness that makes him an EPIC character. Power drips off him by the bucket load with a confidence that totally backs up that swagger of his. Problem is .. that’s pretty much all we know about this sexy mystery and what he is. Mini Review: Kaleidoscope by Kristen Ashley

Mini Review: Kaleidoscope by Kristen Ashley

I think it’s time to put the Colorado Mountain series to bed, because Jagged and Kaleidoscope aren’t anywhere near as good as the first four books in this series. They’re seriously lacking the suspense and the “OMGWTF is happening?” moments of the previous 4 books in this series. While I did like Kaleidoscope better than Jagged, it still pales in comparison to the rest of the series. I’m wondering if Kristen thought since Emme already went through some traumatic events as a child, that maybe Kristen decided not to put her through something again in her adult years. If that’s the case, this book seriously didn’t belong in this series. You know what’s sad about this? I know that she went through something as a child, but as I’m finally writing my review for this book I can’t remember for the life of me what it was. That’s how much this book did not do it for me. I can barely remember the details of the story. I can tell you what every other Kristen Ashley book is about..but this one..No. My mother and sister-in-law always read Kristen Ashley’s newest book with me whenever she releases one..and even they found this one to be lacking. Kristen Ashley books tend to be ones that you can read over and over again… Jagged and Kaleidoscope will probably never be rereads for me. I hope this is just a phase and you’ll find your mojo again, Kristen!

ARC Review: Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout

ARC Review: Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout

WARNING: Do not attempt to start this book at night before you go to bed. If you do, YOU WILL BE UP ALL NIGHT LONG. This book will not allow you to put it down once you start reading. This book is about a girl who finds herself wandering down a road covered in blood. She doesn’t have any clue as to where she’s at, why she’s there and who she even is. She finds out her name is Sam and she’s been missing for FOUR DAYS. She disappeared with her best friend, Cassie, whom still hasn’t been found. Unfortunately  Sam’s memories of that night or any night before that are missing as well. Once I started reading this book, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. I lost track of time.. what only seemed like minutes instead were hours. I realized it was 2am and not 11pm and I had to be to work at 7am. I unfortunately had to put the book down for the night…. The next day I forgo my lunchtime cat nap because I HAD TO FINISH THE BOOK. WOW. This book is incredible. I loved Sam, we got to discover her as a person as she discovered herself. What she was finding out about herself she did not like and she decided she didn’t WANT to be the way she used to be. It even seems that maybe though she was a certain way before the whole disappearance thing, in reality she really didn’t want […]

Confident and classy, Jason is the complete opposite of Paige and just what she needs in her life, or so she thinks. But before their romance has time to blossom, Paige trips and falls into the arms of a mysterious man on a drunken night out. She’ s snapped by paparazzi, and newspaper headlines the next day suggest that she’ s having an affair with a married footballer. Paige finds herself instantly elevated to tabloid celebrity status which isn’ t exactly a picnic, particularly when trying to juggle her new job at Fashionista magazine, a catalog of dating disasters and a nagging doubt that she maybe she can’ t conquer London after all. When a trip back to Canada for Christmas reminds Paige why she left her old life behind, she returns to London with renewed vigor realizing that while jobs, flats and men may come and go, friends in London are forever. Excerpt It was 3 A.M. and all I wanted was a cheeseburger. “Miss, we only sell Big Macs after midnight,” said the McDonalds employee. My stomach grumbled. My diet since I got off the plane had consisted mostly of Champagne, Vodka, […]
