Nominate Your Favorite Book Boyfriends!

Hey guys. We’re going to try and set up our own version of March Madness..as of right now the name is MAN Madness. I don’t know if it’ll make it past nomination stage.. but I need nominations to try and take it past Nomination stage.. if I can get the ideas I have floating around in my head to work out..this will be really interesting! So for now if you have a favorite book boyfriend you’d like to nominate for a possible MAN Madness Tournament. Please feel free to fill out the form below. You can nominate YA, NA or Adult Book Boyfriends. We’ll let them battle it out and we will see who comes out on top! Feel free to nominate more than one character for each category we just ask that you nominate ONE AT A TIME. It will make our work going through the nominations easier. This tournament will probably take place at the beginning of April. I will email any one who nominates their favorite characters with details as to when the tournament starts up. I will also contact those who wish to be a campaign manager(s) for their chosen characters as well as anyone who wants to be apart of the campaign TEAM. If you have questions or suggestions regarding this Tournament please feel free to contact me at erin@mereadalot.net Thank you! This Tournament is brought to you by MEReadALOT (http://www.mereadalot.net) with support from Meredith & Jennifer’s Musings (http://meredithraemusings.blogspot.com/) and Tween 2 Teen Books (http://www.tween2teenbooks.com/) […]

Jennifer L. Armentrout does Twitter Fiction + Giveaway!

Jennifer L. Armentrout does Twitter Fiction + Giveaway!

One of our favorite authors, Jennifer L. Armentrout, took part of this year’s Twitter Fiction Festival (http://twitterfictionfestival.com/). With her, she brought a short story called “The Proposal” featuring one of our favorite couples… And it was tweeted 140 characters at a time. I almost missed out on reading The Proposal! Ironically, I caught the tail end of it and read the story on my iPhone sitting in the dressing room while my mother tried on dresses for my brother’s upcoming WEDDING.  So, I think me reading this story in the middle of wedding stuff was appropriate. Ha! If you did miss it, well look no further because I’m bringing it to you via screencaps of the tweets in chronological order. 😉 Thanks to Jennifer L. Armentrout for giving us the lovely story of one of my favorite bookish couples ever. I can never get enough of Cam and Avery and I’m so glad that you shared their special moment with us!     Giveaway Open to international entries as long as The Book Depository ships to your country! Enter below to win a paperback copy of either Wait For You, Trust In Me or Be With Me by J. Lynn. (We’re also giving away a paperback pre-order of her upcoming book STONE COLD TOUCH here.) a Rafflecopter giveaway     The Wait For You Series by J. Lynn

12 Days of Reviews & Giveaways: The Only One by Magan Vernon

12 Days of Reviews & Giveaways: The Only One by Magan Vernon

Magan Vernon is one of my favorite authors. Whether she writes about hot aliens named Ace or she’s writing about a hot frat boy in a loin cloth, I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by her..  She’s an entertaining writer and if you follow her on Twitter, you’ll see she’s just as entertaining in general. 🙂 This year I’ve read her books The Only Exception and The Only One.  Both books are written in the same “universe”, The Only One being the companion novel to The Only Exception. I loved both books so I’m giving away  a digital copy of both books for our 12 Days of Reviews & Giveaways..  ENTER TO WIN BELOW!! Speaking of Reviews, here is my review for The Only One. You can also check out Meredith’s (who did some guest reviews for our Aliens Abducting August theme this year) reviews for Magan’s My Alien Romance series here. Giveaway a Rafflecopter giveaway

12 Days of Reviews & Giveaways: Under Different Stars by Amy A. Bartol

12 Days of Reviews & Giveaways: Under Different Stars by Amy A. Bartol

Erin’s Review:   Hello Ladies! There’s a new alien in town and he’s here to collect all of our hearts!     Yes, Yes it is. His name is Trey Allairis and it didn’t take long for him to have me swooning all over the place! While he’s not actually referred to as an Alien, He does mention being from another world and to get to said world they have to travel through a worm hole. If that doesn’t scream ALIEN, I don’t know what does.     Ah, since I mentioned Trey, excuse me a minute:     Ok, I think I’m good for a minute. 😉 I started reading Under Different Stars on Monday and thank the (different) stars (ha!) that I had Tuesday off, because I finally gave the book a rest when I could barely keep my eyes open. I was instantly sucked into the story and I did not want to stop reading! This book was incredible, from the unique Etharian slang they used to the swoon-worthy Trey Allairis . The characters in this book were amazing and the world that Amy built for us..was a lot like ours, but yet so very different. I’m finding it difficult to put into words how much I loved this book, but I will try! Kricket was smart, funny and the good kind of sassy.  She wasn’t at all annoying like some Sass-filled protagonists come off as.  Having lost her parents early on in life, she’s had a rough upbringing […]

For eighteen-year-old rockoholic Junie Baltimore, this is music to her ears. But when she discovers their sexy ex-lead singer hiding out on the boardwalk, her summer vacation becomes the cover story of the year. She’s willing to keep him a secret, but when a sleazy paparazzo offers her the cash she needs to save the bar her father left behind, could she sell out for the chance to save her future? Who is she kidding? That’s a no-brainer…but she never planned on falling head over heels for the lead singer.       EXCERPT: Swallowing my heart back down into my throat, I take a tentative step into his darkly lit bedroom. Posters of Harleys and European cities are plastered on his walls. Somewhere downstairs, Roman Holiday’ s “Crush On You” echoes through the entire house in a sick sort of sadistic irony. My ankles wobble, but I keep my cool, trying to slip out of my Converses on the way to his bed.    “I even have mood lighting,” he adds, thumbing back to the flickering electric candles on his headboard.    “They’ re…nice…” I get one shoe off halfway to the bed, and dig my toe into the back of my other shoe right when I hit a silky pair […]

Book Review: For Real by Chelsea M. Cameron + Giveaway

Book Review: For Real by Chelsea M. Cameron + Giveaway

Because one of the first things you learn in this book is how awesome the movie Mean Girls is (though you people should already know the awesomeness of this movie!), this book review is going to consist of a lot of Mean Girls memes. HA.   Shannon is a 21 year old college junior who is still holding on to her V Card. Her friends are doing everything they can to help her lose that card. They even go as far as to be total assholes about it. Shannon’s holding on to her V Card because the only thing she’s worried about right now is getting through college and making something better of her life (or maybe it’s because she recently watched Breaking Dawn..) Welp, that would certainly ruin a determined college student’s plans…   Anyways, back to my review…Shannon is a virgin, she plans on staying a virgin and she wants to get her friends off her back…Enter Jett, a cute tattooed graphic design student she “met” at the coffee shop. He just happens to cross paths with her again after some insane stuff goes down between Shannon and her friends and he rescues her from said situation. After a few discussions about nachos…  The two of them come to an agreement to fake date so that they can both get their friends off their backs… after a few days, it doesn’t seem so fake.. Speaking of Nachos, there was mention of dessert nachos in this book. I instantly […]

New Release: For Real by Chelsea M. Cameron

For Real by Chelsea M. Cameron Series: Rules of Love #1 Release Date: November 14th, 2013 Pre-Order: Amazon | B&N Goodreads: Add to your bookshelf Two people. One fake relationship. What could go wrong? When virgin Shannon Travers gets fed up with her friends demanding that she find a boyfriend, she enlists the help of tattooed, mohawk-rocking graphic design student Jett. He’ s more than happy to play along with their Fake Relationship, including the Ten Rules of Fake Dating that control-freak Shannon comes up with. Even if he likes to violate them. Repeatedly. But what happens when Fake Dating starts to feel… not fake anymore? Will Shannon be willing to let go and embrace the first thing in her life that’ s ever felt REAL? Excerpt: “Wake up, princess,” a male voice I only sort-of recognize says in my ear. My eyes are slow to open and I’ m staring right at a chest I don’ t remember falling asleep on. I lift my chin and meet a set of gorgeous brown-gold eyes. “Hey,” he says, his voice soft as I realize I’ m lying on top of him. At some point during the movie, he’ d shifted under me and brought both our sets of legs up on the couch and laid back, pulling me so we’ re front to front. My boobs are completely squished into his chest, which is the first thing that makes me try to shift off him. “Um, hey,” I say as I struggle to get off him, but there’ […]
