If you haven’t read the THIS MAN series by Jodi Ellen Malpas, don’t worry it’s not really necessary. However, you won’t be disappointed if you DO happen to read This Man before diving in to this book. When I heard that she was releasing a novella for This Man, I GOT SO EXCITED. I just loved Jesse and Ava so much! I really wanted to get to know Drew a bit more too after reading This Man, so I am so glad that JEM released this book! This book takes place after the epilogue of the This Man series. Drew is pushing Forty and he’s the only one still single among their group. He has his daughter, Georgia, and that’s all he needs. Hux, a club similar to The Manor, takes care of his other needs. He’s pretty much come to terms with the way his life is and will always be….until he meets Raya. I’ll be honest, I did enjoy the book but it left me wanting more. By more, I mean more Jesse, the parts of the book where he makes an appearance are the best! I’m sorry, Drew! Although, I did quite enjoy Drew’s daughter, Georgia, too. She was adorable! I don’t know, maybe if Drew and Raya had gotten a bit more to their story, a novel instead of a novella, I might have enjoyed it more.
