A NEW NOVELLA IN THE THIS MAN SERIES!

You don't need to read the series to enjoy this story. But if you're already a Jesse Ward fan, just wait until you see the advice he gives Drew about falling in love.

I thought I had control. I was so, so wrong...

I don't need a relationship. I have Hux, a decadent club where I quench whatever raw desire I choose. I take pleasure and I give it - no strings attached. So when Raya Rivers comes in asking for someone cold, emotionless, and filthy... well, no man ever takes his wicked pleasure quite the way I do.
Only Raya is different. Vulnerable. And carrying some deep sorrow that gets past all my carefully constructed walls and inexplicably makes me care. Now craving controls me. Ice has given way to red-hot need.
But Raya has no idea about my other life - my real life. That I'm daddy to an adorable little girl. My two worlds are about to collide with the force of a supernova. Once Raya knows the truth, will she be able to accept all I am?

If you haven’t read the THIS MAN series by Jodi Ellen Malpas, don’t worry it’s not really necessary. However, you won’t be disappointed if you DO happen to read This Man before diving in to this book.

When I heard that she was releasing a novella for This Man, I GOT SO EXCITED. I just loved Jesse and Ava so much! I really wanted to get to know Drew a bit more too after reading This Man, so I am so glad that JEM released this book!

This book takes place after the epilogue of the This Man series. Drew is pushing Forty and he’s the only one still single among their group. He has his daughter, Georgia, and that’s all he needs. Hux, a club similar to The Manor, takes care of his other needs. He’s pretty much come to terms with the way his life is and will always be….until he meets Raya.

I’ll be honest, I did enjoy the book but it left me wanting more. By more, I mean more Jesse, the parts of the book where he makes an appearance are the best! I’m sorry, Drew! Although, I did quite enjoy Drew’s daughter, Georgia, too. She was adorable! I don’t know, maybe if Drew and Raya had gotten a bit more to their story, a novel instead of a novella, I might have enjoyed it more. Oh well, it was still a good read and I’m glad I did get to see what’s happening in their world again. SPOILER ALERT! View Spoiler »

Anyways, yeah definitely read this novella if you want to see what Jesse, Ava, Sam, Kate, and Drew are up to. Maybe you’d like to know what that bitch Coral is up to, she makes an appearance or two…  I’m going back to listening to the This Man audiobook now. 😉 The Lord <3

  1. I read the This Man series in 2015 I think it was, and I vaguely remembered Drew. Georgia was such a cutie especially the way she tried to help her dad win back Raya. For me, this was perfect for my mood and a quick audiobook listen and one I know I’ll reread again. I’m giving it ಌ ಌ ಌ ಌ ಌ when I get around to doing my review.

    • Oh geez, I totally forgot about Georgia trying to help her dad win back Raya! That was so sweet. <3 I read this book a couple of weeks ago and that tidbit already slipped my mind. Thanks for reminding me about that! LOL. 🙂

      • No problem! My mind is like a sieve, so I forget a lot of plot details within days of finishing a novel. That’s what I love about having this novella on audiobook. I rewound that scene with Georgia shouting out, “He loves you!” and “They’re just friends.” I don’t seek out romances that have kids in them, so it’s always pleasantly surprising when a kid character charms and wins me over like Georgia did.

        • Haha, I’m the same way. I have the Forbidden to read on my kindle but I am waiting until the end of July to read it or else I will forget everything when I finally get around to writing a review for it. LOL.

I don’t mind books with kids in them..sometimes they’re the best characters. LOL. Have you ever read Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec? The kid, Gavin, in that book is HILARIOUS. lol. 🙂

          • Nope, but I loved Tara’s Love & Lists novel. I think I still have one more left in that series. One of my favorite kid characters so far is young George Garrett from My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick. I identified with him so much since my mom nicknamed me her little ‘worry wart’ when I was his age. =)
