Book Boyfriend BATTLE ROYALE Preliminary Voting

Hey Everyone! This coming May will be our FIRST BLOGOVERSARY! In celebration of our first year in the book blog world we are going to host a BOOK BOYFRIEND BATTLE ROYALE! There’s nothing like watching a bunch of HOT & SWOONY BOYS duke it out. 😀 We’ve got around 300+ Boys listed below in four different polls. We need to get that list of book boyfriends down to just 64! Nominate Your Favorite Book Boyfriends!

Hey guys. We’re going to try and set up our own version of March Madness..as of right now the name is MAN Madness. I don’t know if it’ll make it past nomination stage.. but I need nominations to try and take it past Nomination stage.. if I can get the ideas I have floating around in my head to work out..this will be really interesting! So for now if you have a favorite book boyfriend you’d like to nominate for a possible MAN Madness Tournament. Please feel free to fill out the form below. Erin’s Review… or is it a Rant? Ok this will probably be more of a rant rather than a review. Also, this will contain spoilers so if you haven’t read the book yet..you might not want to read this until after you’re done with the book. This book started out good and I did enjoy it for the most part. But you don’t really learn ANYTHING about Nic Dalton in this book. You only learn that she’s from Wyoming, isn’t really close with her family, owns her own bakery and has diabetes AND Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.. That’s it. You don’t learn anything about her family history that makes us understand why she’s the way she is..which is always needs to be in control of everything, and not to depend on other people, etc.. I mean, something had to have happened for her to turn out that way..but what? I guess we’ll never know.. Also, As someone who has PCOS herself, I was shocked to come across a character with the same condition I have. I thought I was going to totally relate with her on the PCOS thing…but I didn’t. With the exception of her having issues with her weight when she was younger. It doesn’t even seem like she has all the other fun stuff that comes with PCOS! Jennifer L. Armentrout does Twitter Fiction + Giveaway!

One of our favorite authors, Jennifer L. Armentrout, took part of this year’s Twitter Fiction Festival (http://twitterfictionfestival.com/). With her, she brought a short story called “The Proposal” featuring one of our favorite couples… And it was tweeted 140 characters at a time. I almost missed out on reading The Proposal! Ironically, I caught the tail end of it and read the story on my iPhone sitting in the dressing room while my mother tried on dresses for my brother’s upcoming WEDDING. So, I think me reading this story in the middle of wedding stuff was appropriate. Ha! Bookish News: Salt & Stone (Fire & Flood #2) by Victoria Scott

A NOTE FROM VICTORIA SCOTT I can’ t believe how amazing these past couple of weeks has been. Fire & Flood is officially out in the world, and it’ s an incredible feeling. To see it on shelves and hear readers’ reactions to some of my beloved scenes has provided me heaps of writing fuel. And this is good news since I’ ve been elbow deep in revisions for book two. Ah, the second book. What can I tell you without spoiling the ride? Well, I can say this—I believe in packing each book with more action than the one preceding it. I believe in continually raising stakes, testing characters, and strengthening relationships. There are many scenes in book two that break my heart, and others that make me laugh. There will be frostbite and avalanches, oceanic storms and twisted new rules. There will be deaths of beloved characters, and new Pandoras to adore. And there will be fierce battles between Contenders and Pandoras alike over the one thing everyone wants—the Cure. For it all comes down to this: Who will be the one to cross the finish line first? DNF: Royally Lost by Angie Stanton

I am a sucker for books where the girl gets the prince. I’ve also read Angie Stanton’s Jamieson Collection series and I enjoyed those books. When I saw this book on edelweiss and saw who the author was, I of course, had to request it. I started reading it and instantly disliked the female MC, Becca. The Male MC, Nikolai’s introduction to me wasn’t so hot either..but.. I powered through…. When I got to 14% I couldn’t take it anymore!! Nikolai is a prince who is anti-monarchy and Becca is being anti everything on her family’s European vacation. If she throws a fit about him being a prince when she finds out I’m going to throw my iPad. Ungrateful girl is on a trip to Europe whining about the history of the places she’s visiting…how she doesn’t want to go to this palace or church or even be on the tour at all… I would about kill to go to Europe and explore all of their historical buildings and learn more about their history.. And I’d swoon and have a heart attack if I met a good looking prince! All she does is whine..all they both do is pretty much whine. To be Honest, I don’t even know if I’ll ever finish this book and find out if she throws a fit when she finds out he’s a prince.. maybe one day when I’m bored I will get curious as to how it all ends..but for now..I just can’t take […]
