The Deep End by Kristen Ashley

The Deep End by Kristen Ashley

Erin’s Review:     WOW. I recommend you turn the air conditioning when you start this book. It is seriously HOT. I thought Kristen Ashley’s Unfinished Hero series was dirty…those books have NOTHING on The Deep End. Wow. In the Unfinished Hero books, KA does dabble a bit in the BDSM when it came to some of the sex scenes but not anything like this book. This book was ALL SEX for the most part and most of it was the drrrty kind, not the plain ole vanilla kind. Ok, I have to be honest, it took a while for me to really get in to the story. I got a little lost in the beginning of the book. It might have been the narrative, as I am not the biggest fan of third person, possibly just the story starting out really slow as well. There was a lot of inner dialogue I could have lived without, especially in the beginning of the book but eventually I started to get in to the story. I really enjoyed the second half of this book a lot more than the first half. Things definitely got a lot more interesting, there was more than just intense dirty sex happening ..the story developed a lot more. Amelia is the DOMME in this book, and it was interesting, seeing the female in that role… and Olivier was referred to as an Alpha/Sub.. and he was definitely a Kristen Ashley ALPHA IN ALMOST ALL THE WAYS, except for […]

Pucked Off by Helena Hunting

Pucked Off by Helena Hunting

Another great book from the Pucked series! You might go in to this book thinking you KNOW Lance.. He’s all about the partying and the puck bunnies, yeah… NO. He’s a completely different person than we all thought he was. I’m not going to go in to too many details about this book because Helena wanted the heroine to stay a secret. Is it Tash, is it someone new? You’ll have to start reading this book to find out for yourself. However, this book was definitely a lot darker, I think, compared to the rest of the series. It’s not as laugh out loud as the previous books. Sure, we see the rest of the gang here and there in this book, but not enough to make this a romantic comedy like the previous books. Lance’s story is not what I thought it would be. It’s very heartbreaking and will have you crying at times. When we are getting to know more about Lance, I didn’t realize he’d have something in common with Christian Grey..and NO, it’s not what you’re thinking. You’ll have to read it and come back and tell me what you think it is. In the end though, Lance gets his happily ever after. šŸ™‚ I really enjoyed this book, but it needs more Violet! I can never get enough of her! Check out the rest of the series: Ā Amazon Apple B&N Ā Amazon Apple B&N Ā Amazon Ā Apple B&N Ā Amazon Apple B&N Ā Amazon Apple B&N

The Power by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The Power by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Ok wow, This book was even better than The Return. I really started to like Seth a whole lot more. I mean he finally started to grow on me in the Return (I kind of wanted to punch in the Covenant books…so that’s saying a lot), but I like him even more now, though he did have a few moments where someone needed to bitchslap him, but he found his way again… This book kind of dragged for me a bit in the beginning but it really started to pick up when we got towards the middle. We see quite a few people from the Covenant series in this book series (OMG guess who shows up in this book?! I bet you’ll never guess! :P) and we even meet a new demigod in the Power. Hercules. Yes, THAT Hercules shows up to help out a bit… and WOW. I don’t think I’ve ever rolled my eyes so hard at a character in a book before. He made for some good entertainment in this book, that is for sure. Wow, the end of the book. I have no words.. I was definitely not expecting that to happen and neither was Seth or anyone else for that matter, it seems. Something’s changed.. and Josie hasn’t given up on Seth, and I don’t think she should. Because even though he doesn’t see it, I don’t think the situation he’s found himself in is anywhere near as bad as everyone thinks it will be. […]

Blog Tour: Inside Game by Collette West

Blog Tour: Inside Game by Collette West

Ok I have to start off by saying that I didn’t even KNOW this was a part of a series until AFTER I finished this book. I’m kind of upset by that fact. I wish I could have read the first four books before reading this. Oh well, that’s fine I guess. I didn’t feel like I was jumping in to a story that’s already in progress when I started this book so that’s a very good thing about this story. It obviously can be read as a standalone. šŸ™‚ Now let’s get to the story: Drake Schultz is the bad boy on the New York Kings. He appears to have been the bad boy on the team. He’s a total jerk to his teammates and doesn’t let any one get close to him. That is until his luck changes and he finds himself being suspended from baseball for eighty games and he’s in neutral territory with the girl that catches his eye every time she’s sitting behind the dugout at one of the Kings’s games. Eva Sloan is a substance abuse counselor and her newest client is her favorite player from the New York Kings. She’s ready to take on Drake and help him kick his Performance Enhancing Drug habit. Not only that but she’s also taken on the job of showing Drake his worth. He’s more than just a baseball player and she does everything she can to show him that there’s more to his life than just […]

Book Review & Giveaway: The Only Way by Magan Vernon

Book Review & Giveaway: The Only Way by Magan Vernon

Another great book by Magan Vernon. I don’t know about you guys, but I LOVE THE CHAPMAN BROTHERS. We got to meet and fall in love with Trey in The Only Exception and The Only Answer. In The Only Way we get to the meet his brother, Tripp, who happens to be the “black sheep” of the family. He’s fresh out of rehab and being whisked away to his father’s election night party. On the way there, he makes a detour to a hole-in-the-wall diner where he meets a waitress named Samantha “Sam” Green. Sam isn’t any better off than Tripp. She’s got her own problems she’s dealing with and she keeps everyone at arms length with her snark. After being kicked out of her apartment, Tripp comes to the rescue. Soon she’s crashing on his couch and helping him out in exchange. I really enjoyed this book. Magan did a good job of getting into the mind of a recovering addict who is trying to find himself after getting out of rehab. He may come from what seems like the perfect family, but he and his family are far from perfect and we’re beginning to see more of that in this book. I really liked him and Sam. They were GREAT together and they really helped each other out. She helps him find himself and his calling in the world. I loved that their relationship started out as a friendship and we got to witness their relationship blossom instead […]

BLOG TOUR: Rebound by Noelle August + Giveaway

BLOG TOUR: Rebound by Noelle August + Giveaway

I have to be honest here… I think I may have liked this one better than the first one. The reason why I know this is because I actually had to go back into Boomerang and skim it through a bit and see what exactly Alison did to her Ex in that book. Oops. :X After going through something horrific with his last girlfriend in college, Adam hasĀ closed himself off from any sort of romantic relationships and only resorted to hookups and while blaming himself for what happened in college. Alison, oh Alison, it’s probably a good thing I didn’t remember what it is you did in the first book that caused your relationship to Ethan to to end or else I may have not read this book….Alison has recently graduated college and now she needs to prove to her dad that she can handle the family business. I ended up likingĀ AlisonĀ a lot. She was a good person who made a terrible mistake, but after learning more about her family, and especially her dad, it all made sense. Ā I’m so glad that she and Adam found each other and are able to help each other get overĀ things that happened in their past and move on with their lives with each other!   This was a cute story, but it did get a bit emotional at times. There is quite a cast of characters in this seriesĀ and I liked them all! This book did start out with Insta-Love, but it totally […]

Blog Tour: One Night: Unveiled by Jodi Ellen Malpas

Blog Tour: One Night: Unveiled by Jodi Ellen Malpas

I loved this book so much more than the last book. This book starts out a few days after the last one ends. Olivia and Miller are in New York trying to escape from everything happening in London. It doesn’t take long for something to happen causing them to have to go back to London and face everything. Miller’s trying find a way out of his profession and Olivia’s mother comes back from the dead. Turns out she’s been alive all this time.. Huh. You won’t believe the story behind that. It’s insane! I also would like to point out my suspicions throughout the last two books were RIGHT! Though at first they were so very wrong. šŸ˜‰ I won’t even say what I’m talking about, but when you finish this book you’ll know exactly what I’m referring to. šŸ˜€  The twists & turns in this story are crazy..including what we finally learn about Miller and his boss….I didn’t see any of that coming and it sure did surprise me! Miller is imperfectly perfect as always… and Olivia, sometimes I wanted to smack her for being such a brat… But that’s what I pretty much expect with all female characters these days. They’re all so stubborn and never do what is best for them.. Nan, we can’t forget about her. She was just as amazing in this book as she has been in the last two books. I’m sad I won’t get to see her or Miller any more after this. šŸ™ Now […]

When I see the anticipation in his stance, the way he looks at me as if I’ m both infuriating and appealing ā€” it makes me feel powerful. But when he takes a step in my direction, that power plummets to some place untouchable. Now I’ m a seventeen-year-old girl again, standing in the shadows with someone who feels like he’ s lived three lives to my one. ā€œCome with me,ā€ he orders. There’ s no room for refusal, and I don’ t want there to be. He takes my hand to help me step over sleeping bodies, both human and Pandora. When I stumble, he leans over and sweeps beneath my knees. I’ m brought into his arms with the same ease I may use to curl a rabbit to my chest. But I’ m not such an innocent, silent creature. I’ ve got spirit and fire in spades. Though, right now, as he carries me to the single back bedroom, I have neither. I’ m somebody else now. I’ m Tella Holloway, Boston girl turned Montana transplant, sitting on the edge of her bed, awaiting her very first date with the boy who makes her parents uneasy. A boy who doesn’ t speak nearly enough, but […]
