Book Babe Battle Royale NOMINATIONS

Book Babe Battle Royale NOMINATIONS

Hey everyone!! Remember when we did the Book Boyfriend Battle Royale? Remember how fun it was? Well we are going to try and do this again with the FEMALE characters of your favorite books! I’m going to be taking nominations until October 25th, 2014. We need to get at least 32 YA Book Babe nominations and 32 NA/Adult Book Babe Nominations. I’ve decided with the Book Babe Battle that we will be doing YA vs NA/Adult book babes. After nominations have closed I will be looking for CHARACTER ADVOCATES. A character advocate is someone who, along with the other fans of said character, cheer on their favorite book babe in the tournament. You guys will be the Character’s cheerleaders! You will promote your character via your social networks, blogs, etc. In addition to the Tournament between the characters we will also be having a BRACKET CHALLENGE like what was done with the Book Boyfriend Battle Royale. If you weren’t involved in our Book Boyfriend Battle Royale earlier this year, think MARCH MADNESS with brackets that anyone can fill out and join in the competition. We will be looking for authors or fellow book bloggers to help sponsor the prize pack for the person with the winning bracket at the end of the Tournament. If you’re interested in donating swag, books, ebooks, etc. to the prize pack, please feel free to contact us. Anyone who donates to the prize pack will have their blog banners/books(w/ buy links) displayed throughout the tournament […]

Book Review: Stay With Me by J. Lynn (Blog Tour)

Book Review: Stay With Me by J. Lynn (Blog Tour)

Stay With Me is another amazing book from one of our favorite authors Jennifer L. Armentrout. Book 3 in her new adult series WAIT FOR YOU, Stay With Me follows Teresa Hamilton’s friend Calla as she tries to put her life back together after discovering that her mother has stolen her college money and racked up a massive amount of debt in Calla’s name. While the book starts out at the College and town where Wait For You and Be With Me take place in, the story leaves there and goes to Calla’s hometown outside of Philly. Calla has escaped a strung out mother and memories of a tragedy that has left Calla scarred both physically and emotionally with plans to make for a better life for herself. When it comes time to pay for her next semester in school she discovers that the money in her college fund is missing. Not only that, but someone has racked up a huge credit card debt in her name. When Calla can’t get a hold of the person who is responsible for this, her mother, she goes back to her hometown to try and find out what’s going on. Entering Plymouth Meeting, her hometown, Calla goes straight to the one place where her mother should be. Only to find a hot bartender who gives Jase a run for his money as lieutenant of the Hot Guy Brigade. Which is what she calls the guys (Cam, Jase, Ollie, etc..) in her circle of […]

Mini Book Review – Jagged by Kristen Ashley

Mini Book Review – Jagged by Kristen Ashley

I am a HUGE fan of Kristen Ashley and when I saw this up for grabs on Netgalley I was all over it. I read this book almost 2 months ago and I don’t even remember what happened in this book. Most Kristen Ashley books have a way of grabbing hold of my brain and staying there, this one did not. I couldn’t connect with the characters at all. Unlike other Kristen Ashley books, this one had nothing going on that kept me on the edge of my seat biting the inside of my mouth.. I’m so very disappointed by this book, but I guess it was bound to happen eventually, right? The rest of this series is amazing so far, but Jagged just doesn’t live up to the first four books in the Colorado Mountain series. I really hope that she brings it with Kaleidoscope, the next book in the series! If you’re a big Kristen Ashley fan like me, I would still recommend that you read it. It might be a watered down version of a Kristen Ashley book, but it’s still a KA book and it will hold you over until her next book comes out. Which, if you stalk her like Melanie and I do, you’ve already read the sneak peek of on her website.

Book Review: Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Book Review: Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout

OH H-O-L-Y CRAP. So Obsession came out on Friday (5/31), but I was lucky enough to win an ARC from the Publisher the night before so I got an early start on my reading!! This book was a great way to hold us ADULT fans of the LUX series over until the release of Origin. When I found out that JLA was releasing an adult book from the LUX universe I got super excited!! I love super hot romances and I must say Obsession is SMOKIN’ HOT!!!! I almost had to take a cold shower when I got done reading it because it had some SUPER HOT SEXY TIMES!!! I LOVED LOVED LOVED HUNTER!! He consisted of all the best ingredients to make a super hot alpha male WHO IS AN ALIEN!!!! He was cocky, arrogant, bossy, snarky, etc, etc.. He was PERRRRRFECT!!! Amazing! “That´s an alien. I´m an alien. We´re aliens. Aliens everywhere, actually, which is why we have to leave. I´m sure someone called the police by now.” – Hunter Serena was also amazing…She didn’t take Hunter’s crap at all and dished it right back at him! We like girls who are sassy, makes for interesting banter between characters!! But like most girls who are sassy, they usually don’t always know what’s good for them..so they tend to do some stupid things and Serena is not any different! “Never in my life had I been more frustrated. Go figure it wouldn’t be with a human but a freaking […]
