Book Review: The Only One by Magan Vernon

Erin’s Review:   We first meet John Boy in The Only Exception when he is introduced to us as Trey Chapman’s Big Brother at their Fraternity Alpha Mu. In The Only Exception he appears to be your stereotypical Frat Boy; Only there for the Booze, Girls & Parties… He continues t0 give us this impression at the beginning of The Only One, being that it’s a halloween party and he’s only wearing a loin cloth(say what?!). β€œWatch it, loincloth, I’ m not afraid to spork your eyes out.” – Monica We were also introduced to Melanie in The Only Exception where she played a bigger part in that story than John Boy, so we already know her a little bit better than we do John when we get started with The Only One. Melanie is an honor roll student doing everything she can to make it through college, working and going to school full-time, this girl has no social life to speak of. Her good friend and Trey’s girlfriend, Monica, has managed to talk her into going to the Alpha Mu Halloween party. At the party she somehow manages to catch John Boy’s eye. It must have been that Hermione costume she was wearing, while the loin cloth that John Boy is wearing certainly caught her eye and all of our eyes (yum). Book Review: Forever Too Far by Abbi Glines

Man, what happened to Rush? Is it me or is he like seriously WHIPPED? This book didn’t have a whole lot going on..I think it’s mostly just for Abbi to tie up Blaire & Rush’s story and then introduce some new characters that I do believe we will be seeing again in the future. πŸ˜‰ First we met Harlow, Nan’s uber-conservative, sweet and innocent half-sister. Next, we meet ‘Oh Captain, My Captain.’ Although we really didn’t get to learn much about him…maybe in the future? This book wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t nothing that you like NEED TO READ RIGHT NOW, You can probably skip this and wait for the next book in Woods/Della’s story (Perfection). But if you do plan on reading it, YOU MUST BUY RUSH’S WEDDING SONG TO BLAIRE. πŸ™‚ It’s available on iTunes.

Mini Book Review: Love Rehab by Jo Piazza

This book was highly entertaining! It had me laughing non-stop. It also gave me some food for thought on any future break-ups, including some Steps/Rules that maybe we should all remember to follow in the future concerning possible new relationships, break ups or life in general. πŸ˜‰ This was a light, funny read and I really enjoyed it. I’m glad I was given the opportunity to read and review it. πŸ˜‰
