Already Famous by Heather Leigh + Giveaway!

Already Famous by Heather Leigh + Giveaway!

I’ve read this entire series and I’ve really enjoyed it. I was sad to see it end with Extremely Famous until it turns out Heather wasn’t done just yet with the series! Already Famous is Relatively Famous told from Drew’s Point of View. I know a lot of people don’t like rereading the same story from the male’s POV but, really, sometimes you should! It can make the entire story seem like a new one. It was quite interesting to see his point on things. He really tried hard to keep the knowledge that he was famous from Sydney. He knew something bad must have happened to her in her past that made her obviously wary of “famous” people. You really get to know Drew in this story. See how he ticks and this story made me realize that maybe, just maybe, someone should have talked him into anger management classes or therapy. Because it doesn’t take much for him to set him off. Though it is obvious he wouldn’t hurt Sydney or his family, because usually he was angry for them. He gets angry over how his fame affects the people he loves and he just doesn’t seem to handle all of that well. Maybe with therapy, he could handle all of that better. I always thought it was kind of funny though, when he got angry, because he would start talking (or yelling) in his native Boston accent.. and Heather did a good job of conveying the change […]

Book Review: Stay With Me by J. Lynn (Blog Tour)

Book Review: Stay With Me by J. Lynn (Blog Tour)

Stay With Me is another amazing book from one of our favorite authors Jennifer L. Armentrout. Book 3 in her new adult series WAIT FOR YOU, Stay With Me follows Teresa Hamilton’s friend Calla as she tries to put her life back together after discovering that her mother has stolen her college money and racked up a massive amount of debt in Calla’s name. While the book starts out at the College and town where Wait For You and Be With Me take place in, the story leaves there and goes to Calla’s hometown outside of Philly. Calla has escaped a strung out mother and memories of a tragedy that has left Calla scarred both physically and emotionally with plans to make for a better life for herself. When it comes time to pay for her next semester in school she discovers that the money in her college fund is missing. Not only that, but someone has racked up a huge credit card debt in her name. When Calla can’t get a hold of the person who is responsible for this, her mother, she goes back to her hometown to try and find out what’s going on. Entering Plymouth Meeting, her hometown, Calla goes straight to the one place where her mother should be. Only to find a hot bartender who gives Jase a run for his money as lieutenant of the Hot Guy Brigade. Which is what she calls the guys (Cam, Jase, Ollie, etc..) in her circle of […]

Extremely Famous Release Celebration Giveaway!

Extremely Famous Release Celebration Giveaway!

A few months ago I received a review request from an author by the name of Heather Leigh for a book called Relatively Famous (read review). I read the synopsis and jumped on the chance to read this book. She then sent it to me and I DEVOURED THIS BOOK. I couldn’t put it down.  I have since devoured the sequels to this book and have enjoyed the rest of the series immensely. Heather Leigh does a good job of keeping us entertained with this series.  The characters in this series are well written, well developed and easy to fall in love with. She doesn’t make Sydney and Drew’s relationship easy, they have a lot of hoops to jump through and issues to deal with before the find their Happily Ever After. While it seems that Sydney and Drew’s story comes to a close in Extremely Famous, The Famous series is far from done! I do believe Heather Leigh will be giving us the stories of some of the other characters that we’ve grown to love in this series as well. I can’t wait to see what she will bring to the table with these other characters! The Famous Series Relatively Famous (Famous #1) by Heather Leigh Amazon | B&N | iTunes This is NOT your average Hollywood romance. There are no virgins falling in love with hot actors. There isn’t a famous guy falling for the normal girl next door. What there IS in this book, is a fragile, damaged girl […]

Book Review: The Professional by Kresley Cole

Book Review: The Professional by Kresley Cole

I’ve read a lot of not-so-good reviews for this book but I don’t care…. This book was SMOKIN’ HOT and very entertaining. It’s giving me hot flashes just remembering back to when I read it last month. Holy hell. Aleksei “The Siberian” Sevastyan puts Christian Grey and his Red Room to shame. Grad Student, Natalie Porter, and her search to find out about her Birth Parents leads her in to the Russian Mafiya. All The While, catching the eye of the one sent to protect her, Aleksei Sevastyan. They’re drawn to one another and can’t seem to stay away from each other for too long. I loved the characters in this book. Sevastyan made me swoon like I’ve never swooned before and Natalie just straight-up entertained me. I thought she was a hilarious and she had a serious fascination with kink that she was discovering about herself in this book. The smexy times between Sevastyan and Natalie will overheat your reading apparatus or cause your paperback to catch fire…that’s how smoking hot their chemistry is. We also can’t forget about Natalie’s best friend, Jess, who I think made Natalie even more of an interesting character. The two of them together made for an entertaining friendship.   If you liked Fifty Shades of Grey, you’ll LOVE this book even more. It’ll make you want to run out and book a one-way ticket to Russia or look to see if there’s such thing as Russian mail order HUSBANDS. YUM.     Some of my favorite […]

Mini Book Review: Perfect Kind of Trouble by Chelsea Fine

Mini Book Review: Perfect Kind of Trouble by Chelsea Fine

Boy. This book gave me some serious feels at 5am. I stayed up reading this book until almost 7am..oops. It’s obvious that I enjoyed this book if I couldn’t be bothered to notice the sun was rising right in front of my face. This book is a dual POV and I really enjoyed reading the story from both characters, Kayla and Daren’s, in this book. You watch them really evolve over a 3 day period and learn that there is more to themselves than a pretty face and sexual prowess. Yes, this book is pretty much instalove..but..given the circumstances the two main characters find themselves in, it was a given. OH. MY. GOD. I am just now finding out this book is #2 in a series. WOW. I didn’t even realize..well that’s another good thing about this book. It’s obvious you don’t need to read the first one, Best Kind of Broken, to jump right in to this one. Kudos to the author for that! 😉 (You know what’s really bad? I just realized that Regina had signed us up for the RDL of the first one and there’s a blog post for it in our archives. LOL!!) Anyways, yes I really liked this book and I’m going to go check out the first one in this series now. 😉 I think you should too!

Mini Review: Kaleidoscope by Kristen Ashley

Mini Review: Kaleidoscope by Kristen Ashley

I think it’s time to put the Colorado Mountain series to bed, because Jagged and Kaleidoscope aren’t anywhere near as good as the first four books in this series. They’re seriously lacking the suspense and the “OMGWTF is happening?” moments of the previous 4 books in this series. While I did like Kaleidoscope better than Jagged, it still pales in comparison to the rest of the series. I’m wondering if Kristen thought since Emme already went through some traumatic events as a child, that maybe Kristen decided not to put her through something again in her adult years. If that’s the case, this book seriously didn’t belong in this series. You know what’s sad about this? I know that she went through something as a child, but as I’m finally writing my review for this book I can’t remember for the life of me what it was. That’s how much this book did not do it for me. I can barely remember the details of the story. I can tell you what every other Kristen Ashley book is about..but this one..No. My mother and sister-in-law always read Kristen Ashley’s newest book with me whenever she releases one..and even they found this one to be lacking. Kristen Ashley books tend to be ones that you can read over and over again… Jagged and Kaleidoscope will probably never be rereads for me. I hope this is just a phase and you’ll find your mojo again, Kristen!

Blog Tour: Frenched by Melanie Harlow Review & Giveaway!

A week before her big wedding, Mia Devine’s  fiance, Tucker,  calls off their wedding with a text from VEGAS. Which in my opinion was probably the best thing to happen to her..as he has a thing against oral sex and body fluids. Also, it seems like he was the kind of guy who is “Wham, Bam, Thank you Ma’am. I’m sorry you didn’t get off but I must go take a shower because I’m a closted germaphobe.” Eventually her friends Coco and Erin manage to talk her out of the blanket fort she’s built around herself. From there they try and talk her into taking her booked & paid for honeymoon by herself. Paris is somewhere she’s always wanted to go..so eventually she gives in to her friends and goes. On her first day in Paris, after walking around witnessing the city of love being in love, Mia can’t take it no more. “I tried to perk myself up with a stroll along the Seine, but my Independent Woman positivity had fizzled. Everywhere I looked I saw couples in love. Fucking everywhere.”   Working herself up into a rage she somehow loses herself in Paris and has no idea where she’s at. She decides she needs wine so she walks a bit more and comes across a bar called The Beaver Bar & Grille. She walks in and looks to see if a proposal is imminent and finds that there doesn’t seem to be much love in the air. The […]
