Bacon Bread Recipe

bacon-breadSomeone posted this on facebook and tagged me because they know that I’m a huge fan of bacon. I mean, website WHO ISN’T A HUGE FAN OF BACON?! 🙂
Anyways, this is a recipe I need to try ASAP. Though, I might make this with Cheddar Cheese rather than Mozzarella. If I use mozzarella cheese I will have to put pepperoni on this as well..and then it’ll be pizza bread and not Bacon Bread. Maybe, I’ll make one of each. ;D

Bacon Bread

Bacon, Cheese and Bread. 3 of my most favorite things! 😉

Ingredients
  1. 12 bacon strips, diced
  2. 1 loaf (1 pound) frozen bread dough, thawed
  3. 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  4. 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  5. 1 envelope (1 ounce) ranch salad dressing mix
Instructions
  1. Directions
  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat for 5 minutes or until partially cooked;
  3. drain on paper towels.
  4. Roll out dough to 1/2-in. thickness;
  5. brush with 1 tablespoon of oil.
  6. Cut into 1-in. pieces;
  7. place in a large bowl.
  8. Add the bacon, cheese, dressing mix and remaining oil;
  9. toss to coat.
  10. Arrange pieces in a 9-in. x 5-in. oval on a greased baking sheet, layering as needed...
  11. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled.
  12. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Cover with foil; bake 5-10 minutes longer or until golden brown.
